channel select - PHONE PHREAK TRACK REVIEW

 

Hello! Today we're reviewing a brand-new track from vaporwave up-and-comer, channel select. This song is called "PHONE PHREAK" and it was released via their SoundCloud page a couple of weeks ago, and according to them, it's fully original without samples.

I think "PHONE PHREAK" is a great song - channel select has a knack for making songs that fit nicely into a retro 80s sound while also being completely original instrumentation at the same time. It's a difficult thing to pull off, but channel select has definitely found a winning formula here.

I love the vocal manipulations throughout the track, and the main melody is really dreamy.

I don't really have much else to say about this track, other than I absolutely love it. This is definitely one of my favourite vaporwave tracks to come out this year, and I hope they continue pursuing this style for future releases. And that's about it - give it a listen up above.
